A career grounded in service
Medicine has taken me from Iraq to intensive care—and into patients’ homes.
My medical career began as an operating room technician in the Army, including a deployment to Iraq. That experience shaped the way I approach healthcare: stay prepared, listen closely, and take care of the person in front of you.
I became a registered nurse in 2011 and earned my bachelor’s degree in 2012. In Tulsa, I worked in the neuro-trauma ICU, PACU, as an ICU float nurse, and in cosmetic surgery. After becoming a nurse practitioner, I spent five years practicing internal medicine at one of Tulsa’s largest hospitals and the next five years caring for patients in their homes.
In 2017, I also became a nurse practitioner in the Oklahoma Army National Guard. Across every setting, I have seen how much better healthcare works when it respects people’s time, responsibilities, and real lives.
